Meet the Clinicians

Ashley L Moniz, LMHC

Ashley is a Mental Health Counselor serving adults, parents, families, and children,

helping them grow and feel inspired to be their best selves.  She has worked with a

variety of different clients for over 15 years.  She is passionate about her work with women, empowering them through various phases of life and assisting with symptoms of anxiety and depression.  Because of Ashley's work in child welfare, foster care  & adoption, she also specializes in trauma-related struggles and working with parents and families on issues related to behavior management, managing change within a family, and positive parenting.  While each session and client is individualized, Ashley utilizes Cognitive-Behavioral interventions, as well as Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused, and Inner Child work. 

Ashley oversees the clinical work at RISE and hopes to form a community of clinicians and stewards that will honor each and every person that comes to RISE for support, counseling, and healing.

Kelly Tufano, LMHC

Kelly is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with over a decade of experience working with individuals, couples, and families in the church and private practice setting. She is passionate about seeing people set free and walking in the fullness of who they are in Christ.

 

Kelly endeavors to create a space where individuals can safely explore the underlying roots to their behavior and emotions, in order to cooperate with the Lord in the uprooting of the lies and burdens that so often keep us bound. Psalms 51:6 says “Surely, you desire truth in the innermost being” and it is a great privilege to witness the Lord reach into and transform some of our most broken and hidden areas.

 

Kelly specializes in dealing with anger, anxiety, depression, childhood wounds, codependency, marital conflict, rejection, and trauma. A Christ-centered Internal Family Systems approach is also available for those desiring freedom from the wounds of their past and a greater level of trust and surrender to the Lord.

Rhonda Holmes, LMHC

Rhonda works with adults, children, adolescents, couples and families to address various issues including attachment disorders, trauma based behavior, and mood disorders to strengthen communication and implement strategies for lasting change. Rhonda brings years of experience with children and families and is passionate about healing trauma.  She has a calming strength that she brings into all her sessions that allows clients to feel supported and ready for healing.

Jiayin Saarinen, LMHC

As a therapist, Jiayin practices a holistic approach because she believe all aspects of a client and their experiences are important in providing effective treatment. Jiayin has experience working with a wide range of clients of all ages and diagnoses. Her goal for all clients is to build a relationship of mutual trust, respect, and communication, as well as a safe environment that fosters vulnerability and honesty. Based on individual nuances, Jiayin strives to incorporate principles and skills from various theoretical models, including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Dialectic Behavioral Therapy.

As an international, transracial adoptee, Jiayin is passionate about helping other adoptees navigate their experiences with grief/loss, identity, and other adoption-related issues. Additionally, her personal experience with grief and bereavement (not adoption-related) motivates her commitment to her work with individuals who have experienced loss.

Alainna Chabot, LICSW

Alainna is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker providing client-centered care for adults, children, families and couples. Alainna's practice is best described by Isaiah 57:14 which says "Build up, build up, prepare the way! Take up the stumbling block out of the way of My people".

 

Alainna is passionate about coming along side those who are struggling with any kind of stumbling block, whether it be anxiety, depression, trauma, anger, addiction, etc. to see them restored, transformed, healed and delivered by the saving power of Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ proclaimed in Luke 4:18 that He was sent "to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed" and "it is by His wounds we are healed and made whole" (Isaiah 53:5). Alainna's prayer is that through the process of therapy and counseling each individual will receive revelation that leads to transformation and freedom.

Linda Alvarez, LICSW

Linda received her Master's of Social Work from Boston College in 2017. She is a skilled Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) with over 8 years experience in various mental health settings including: community health, private practice, residential treatment, home based services, child protection, and hospital sectors. She is experienced working with all ages, various diagnoses, and stages of life and care.

 

Linda enjoys working with all individuals at all phases of life. She encourages clients to search inwardly to continue to empower and strengthen the intrinsic strength they have within them, while supporting them through their journey. She cares to empower all people, especially underrepresented, marginalized peoples and populations, and people working through Depression, Anxiety, Trauma, Grief, Attachment issues, Parent management, DCF involvement and ADD/ADHD symptoms.

 

Linda works to place the client at the center and works with the client to identify the best modality of treatment. Linda is level 2 trained in AF EMDR (Attachment Focused Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) by the Parnell Institute. AF EMDR is a modality utilized to manage and process Anxiety, Phobias, and Trauma.

Jenna Tremblay, MA

Jenna has years of experience working with children, teens and adults in various settings including school, hospitals, detox, and outpatient offices. She is passionate and creative and enjoys bringing creativity and art into her work.  She specialized in Expressive Art Therapy. Jenna works with teens and young adults as well as adults and families. Jenna utilizes expressive arts, cognitive-behavioral interventions, and motivational interviewing as preferred modalities 

 

Jenna works under supervision of licensed practitioner and accepts private pay and some insurances.

Kylie Tirrell, MEd

Kylie received her Masters of Education at Bridgewater State University in Mental Health Counseling. Kylie has worked with a diverse population of children, parents, families, and individuals. Her experience includes working with clients with anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, ADHD, substance use, and other various needs. She desires to walk alongside her clients as they begin the journey of inner healing. Kylie utilizes different approaches and techniques including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, a Solutions-Focused approach, and Motivational Interviewing. Kylie is passionate about helping others and loves seeing how God can transform lives.

Karen Meiring, MS

Karen has a Master's degree in Marriage and Family therapy and works with adults of all ages.  Karen utilizes a client-centered approach and strives to meet her clients right where they're at and help them to get where they're going.  She is passionate about seeing lives restored.  Karen is familiar with a variety of approaches to recovery from addictions, whether it be a behavioral addiction and/or substance abuse.  She is also passionate about seeing individuals recover from codependency, trauma, divorce, grief, relationship issues, anxiety, depression, PTSD, and a myriad of other psychiatric conditions.  She has worked in a variety of settings and brings her experience of mental health and substance abuse counseling to the RISE team.

 

Karen works under the supervision of a licensed practitioner and accepts private pay and some insurances.

Tara Rowe, LCSW

Tara is a clinical social worker with a special emphasis in child and adolescent trauma/child development and behavior. Along with her work with younger populations, Tara has worked with individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, and grief. She has a passion to help adults, children, families, and adolescents gain resilience and hope through various evidence-based approaches (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Play Therapy, Mindfulness, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused, and goal oriented treatment). 

 

Tara creates a warm, nonjudgmental environment for all individuals to feel safe and heard in her space. 

 

Tara works under the supervision of a licensed practitioner and accepts private pay and some insurances.

Joy Ericksen, MA

Joy has been a mental health professional with over eight years of practice within a community mental health outpatient setting. She worked in various settings including homes, schools, hospitals, and outpatient offices and worked with a wide range of ages dealing with ADHD, anxiety, depression, grief, mood disorders, psychosis, substance use, trauma, and parenting. She provides a supportive, safe, non-judgmental, and warm environment; in which you will be taught skills to learn how to navigate and work though difficulties in your life. Joy collaborates with you in identifying your goals, tailor service to your specific needs, and what you and she decide will be the best treatment for you. Her approach is strength based, person centered, exploring issues and beliefs centered on the Christian faith, and ready to walk alongside of you. And she most often offers Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Behavior Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Solution Focused Brief Therapy.

Would you like to join our team? We are hiring contracted, fee-for-service, clinicians with the opportunity for part-time or full-time hours. Prefer evenings and weekend availability.

What to expect: 

  • Access to RISE referral management

  • Flexible caseload of clients - you will be able to make your own hours and have access to an established stream of client referrals based on your preferences and strengths

  • Multiple office locations to see clients in-person or remotely

  • Support staff who will work with you to give the resources and attention needed to provide yourself and your clients the care needed for mental health and wellness.

  • Supervision and team meetings designed to support each individual provider

  • A Christian team and setting, including team meetings, shared trainings and prayer

  • Electronic Health Records that provides a central place for scheduling case planning and notes

  • On-call coverage through RISE

  • Christian resources as part of a continuum of care model provided at His Providence Church
